Pennsylvania Sedge Carex Pensylvanica

Soil Moisture and Composition: Prefers mesic to dry humusy, sandy loam or loose loam soil, but will adaprt to poorer soils if there is a layer of organic matter on top.

Native Habitat: Found in dry open woods and open prairies and in oak forests.
