Limestone Meadow Sedge Carex granularis

Soil Moisture and Composition: Prefers mesic to moist open soils and can tolerate alkaline conditions.

Native Habitat: Found in fields, prairies, moist meadows and disturbed areas in Southern Ontario.

Feature Copy: This sedge has blue green foliage and corn cob like spikes. It can puff up to large clumps in gardens when there is less root competition. Thanks to Paul O'hara from Blue Oak Native Landscapes our native sedge mentor.
