Drooping Wood Sedge Carex arctata

Soil Moisture and Composition: Prefers mesic, rich, humusy soil.

Native Habitat: Found in mixed and deciduous forests as well as swamp edges and alder thickets..

Feature Copy: This clump forming sedge will create a groundcover in wooded areas and prevents soil erosion on slopes. It has attractive spikes that stand above dense tufts. Thanks to Paul O'hara from Blue Oak Native Landscapes our native sedge mentor.
